It's been far too long!!

Ok, well, here we are in 2010 and I haven't blogged in forever. I always have great intentions, but never seem to get around to it.

Our house is as crazy and busy as ever. Zane and Tate continue to enjoy school. Zane has been on break now for a few weeks, but starts again tomorrow. Tate went back this week. The biggest excitement has been the Wii that we gave the boys for Christmas. If I let them, they would play it nonstop all day everyday. We weren't really sure how much Tate would get into it, but it turns out he is much more obsessed than we originally thought he would be! It's so fun to see them playing together and enjoying the gift we were so excited to give them!

Zane has been doing great in Kindergarten. We had his conferences this fall and his teacher said that she is really pleased with how well he is doing and that she thinks we made the right decision to send him. That was wonderful to hear after we had wondered what to do since he had a summer birthday and all. He is reading all sorts of stuff now and can read books to his sisters and brother. This weekend we were at a hotel with some friends while celebrating a friend's birthday. We took the boys to the pool. Zane was immediately bent out of shape because he read the sign that said no kids under 12 in the whirlpool! haha!

Tate continues to be his wild little self. He is doing well in preschool this year too. He is such a home body and hates to leave the house. Especially the days when Zane is home. But I think the cutest thing about him going to school is that whenever I bring him and pick him up there are kids in the parking lot meeting us saying Hi or Bye to Tate. He has made lots of little friends and it seems like he is well liked by his classmates. We got a kick out of him at his Christmas program for preschool. He looked like he was as bored as could be up there, but knew absolutely everything he needed to do and say and did it! lol! He wasn't too into it! The very best part about the program was watching his little face light up when he saw us! It was SO precious and it melted our hearts to say the very least! :)

The girls are walking and talking and meeting new milestones all the time. Nadia talks more than Kinzey right now. In fact she babbles non stop. I think she says about a dozen words and the list is growing everyday. Nadia is very shy around new people still and is most happy when she can have her nuk, her princess blanket and be sitting in either mine or Travis' lap. She would sit in our laps and be entertained by all all day everyday if she could. It is adorable and exhausting all at the same time! haha! :) She loves her brothers and loves to spend time with them. The other day I found her crawling up into the chair to sit on top of Zane! It's been really fun to see how these four get a long and how they love to spend time with each other. Nadia has been dubbed 'the cup monitor'. If there is an empty sippy cup to be found, she will find it and come to us (usually me) and persistently say (with a very serious face) "Mum." We think this is a combination of 'more' and 'mom'. Even if she has a full cup in her hand she is insistent that the cup be filled. The good thing about it is that her sister never has to worry about having her cup refilled. Haha!


Kinzey is very busy, doesn't talk as much as her sister, but is obsessed (and I mean obsessed) with Barney and reading books. If she could have her way we would watch Barney all day and she would constantly pick book after book after book, bring it to Travis or myself, plop herself in our lap and wait to be read to. It is theeee sweetest thing! :) She is just so sweet. We do see her feistier side come out once in awhile. She LOVES her brothers and wants nothing more than to be where ever they are! She tackles and wrestles them like they are her size. It is so fun to watch her interact with her siblings. One night, Kinzey was screaming in her crib so we brought her back downstairs thinking maybe she wasn't quite ready for bed. And of course we didn't want her to wake up her sister. We had taken the gate down to the boys room which is on the main level. We realized she was missing and found her in the boys room, on their beds trying to wake them up! It was one of the funniest Kinzey moments we have had yet! :)

Now that the girls are walking our house is definitely busier, but so much fun too. They are at a fun age and the boys are so fun to spend time with and do special things with at their ages too.

Travis kept busy this fall with hunting and work and I was taking a couple classes towards my masters degree. I am going to be taking a couple more classes this spring. I am getting closer to being done which is great!
I am hoping to make this blogging a priority now. I love writing down all the little things in life that are so easily forgotten with the hustle and bustle of life!
